Maintenance

The DAP Audio EDGE EBS-1 requires almost no maintenance. However, you should keep the unit clean.
Disconnect the mains power supply, and then wipe the cover with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in
liquid. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
Keep connections clean. Disconnect electric power, and then wipe the audio connections with a damp
cloth. Make sure connections are thoroughly dry before linking equipment or supplying electric power.

Troubleshooting

This troubleshooting guide is meant to help solve simple problems. If you are unable to determine the
cause of the problem, do not open the unit, as this may damage the device and the warranty will be
deemed void. Return the device to your DAP Audio dealer.

Make sure the transmitter is on.
Make sure the batteries are inserted properly. If the
batteries are inserted properly, replace them with a set of
new batteries.
Make sure the battery housing is clean.
Make sure the DC power adapter is plugged into the
appropriate power outlet and into the DC power connector
IN (24) on the receiver. Make sure the AC electrical output
works and supplies proper voltage.
Turn up the volume on the receiver and/or the transmitter
and/or the speaker.
Make sure the output connections between the receiver
and external equipment are in order.
Make sure that the transmitter and the receiver use the
same frequency.
Move the transmitter closer to the receiver.
Adjust the squelch threshold.
Identify potential sources of interference (other RF sources)
and turn them off.
Reposition the receiver and perform a walk-through test
again. If audible drop-outs persist, mark the dead spots and
avoid them during performance.
Check the antennas.
