    EDGE EBS-2 Description of the Device The EDGE EHS-2 is a wireless bodypack system. The set consists of 2 bodypack transmitters and a receiver. The EDGE is suitable for voice transmission or for musical instruments. The transmitters are powered by 2 x AA LR6 (alkaline) batteries (not included).

    EDGE EBS-2 Installation and Setup Ambient Conditions ● The device can be used only indoors. ● The maximum ambient temperature t = 50 °C must never be exceeded. ● The relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient temperature of 50 °C. Installation The receiver can be put on a stable, flat surface, or can be mounted in a standard 19-inch rack.

    EDGE EBS-2 Two Receivers Attach the supplied short mounting brackets with the mounting screws to the receivers. Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the mounting screws.     EDGE EBS-2 Installation of the Bodypack Use the belt clip (27) on the device to fasten it to your clothes. Flip the belt clip (27) for best comfort. The antenna (22) shall always point upwards.     EDGE EBS-2 Installation of the Antennas The device is delivered with 2 antennas. The antennas are not connected. To install the antennas: Insert the 1 antenna into the 12–15 V DC BNC connector (08). Insert the 2 antenna into 12–15 V DC BNC connector (11).     EDGE EBS-2 Power Linking of Multiple Devices This receiver supports power linking. Power can be relayed to another receiver via the 12–15 V DC power connector OUT (19). Power linking of multiple devices must be carried out only by instructed or skilled persons. To prevent overload of the electrical circuit, when power linking multiple devices: Use cables with sufficient current-carrying capacity.

    EDGE EBS-2 Connecting the Receiver to Mixer/Amplifier Attention Connect all data cables before supplying power. Disconnect power supply before connecting or disconnecting data cables. The receiver has 2 balanced 3-pin XLR output connectors. To connect the receiver to a mixer or an amplifier: 01) Make sure that the receiver is not connected to power supply and the volume is turned down.

    EDGE EBS-2 Switching ON/OFF – Transmitter The transmitter has a power button. Press and hold down the power button (24) for 2 seconds to switch the transmitter on/off. Pairing You can pair the transmitter with the receiver. Before pairing, scan for unused frequencies to avoid interference. See 5.3.1.4. Scan on page 22. To automatically pair the receiver with the transmitter, follow the steps below: Put the transmitter near the receiver, so that the IR sensor (30) of the transmitter is as close as possible to the IR sensor (06) of the receiver.

    EDGE EBS-2 Channel In this menu you can select a channel. Each channel (1–14) has a unique fixed frequency. See 5.6. Channel and Frequency Overview on page 29. Turn the control (04) to select CHANNEL. Press the control (04) to edit. Turn the control (04) to select a channel.

    EDGE EBS-2 Press the control (04) to scan the entire frequency range (610–670 MHz). This process may take up to 2 minutes. Once the scan is finished, you can see which frequencies are already in use and which are not. Press the control (04) to return to the main menu.

    EDGE EBS-2 Note: To unlock the display, press and hold down the control (04) for 4 seconds, until the receiver lock (C) disappears from the display. Note: The display does not lock automatically.     EDGE EBS-2 Name In this menu you can set the name of the receiver. A name can consist of up to 8 characters. Turn the control (04) to select NAME. Press the control (04) to edit. The currently selected character will be highlighted. Turn the control (04) to change the character.

Unauthorized modifications to the device will render the warranty void. Such modifications may result in injuries and material damage.
