AC/DC Current Measurements
WARNING: Do not handle the meter above the finger/hand guard barrier.
CAUTION: Observe CAT III 600V with respect to Earth Ground for the Jaw.
1.
Press the 'A' button to access the Current measurement mode. The A symbol will appear on
the display in the lower right hand side indicating Amperes (Amps).

The meter can be used in AUTO mode (default) where the meter detects AC or DC current
automatically or the meter can be used manually (use the 'A' button to toggle DC and AC).

When in AUTO mode, the display shows the AUTO icon in the upper left corner.
4.
The meter display will show AC or DC on the right side of the display.
5.
When in DC Current mode, press and hold ZERO for > 2 seconds to null the display before
taking a DCA measurement.
6.
Press the jaw trigger to open the clamp jaw.
7.
Position the clamp around only one conductor. See accompanying diagrams for correct and
incorrect use.
8.
Read the current in the display. The display will indicate the proper decimal point and value.
In DC, If the polarity is reversed, the display will show (‐) minus before the value.
