If the resistance is < 10Ω, the meter will beep. If the resistance is > 70Ω, the meter will not beep. If the resistance is between 10 and 70Ω, the meter will stop beeping at an unspecified point. Reverse voltage will indicate “OL”. Shorted devices will indicate a reading close to ‘0’ ohms in both directions. An open device will indicate ‘OL’ in both directions.
