Always shut down the FortiGate operating system properly before unplugging the
power to avoid potential hardware problems.
To power off the FortiGate unit
From the web-based manager, go to System > Status.
In the Unit Operation display, select Shutdown, or from the CLI, enter:
execute shutdown
Disconnect the power supply.
There are two methods of connecting and configuring the basic FortiGate
settings:
the web-based manager
the command line interface (CLI)
You can configure and manage the FortiGate unit using HTTP or a secure HTTPS
connection from any computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or recent
browser. The web-based manager supports multiple languages.
You can use the web-based manager to configure most FortiGate settings, and
monitor the status of the FortiGate unit.

The FortiGate unit is starting up.
The FortiGate unit running normally, or is shut off.
The correct cable is in use, and the connected equipment has
power.
Network activity at this interface.
No link established.
The interface is connected at 100 Mbps.
The FortiGate-60B or FortiWiFi-60 is running in HA mode.
A major error has occurred.
A minor error has occurred.
