About this document
This document is intended for use by systems administrators and technicians
experienced with networking, Fibre Channel, and storage area network (SAN)
technologies. It describes how to install, service, and use the IBM System
Networking SAN24B-5 (machine type-models 2498-F24 and 249824G) Switch.
Throughout this document, the product is referred to as the SAN24B-5, or simply
the switch.
This document has been created to include information specific to SAN24B-5
switches running on Fabric OS version 7.0.1 or later. This document does not
support all Fabric OS versions. It is specific to Fabric OS v7.0.1 or later.
