3. Insert the EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 diskette 1.
4. Click Start, select Run, and type A:\SETUP. (If your diskette drive uses a
different letter, substitute it for A.) Then click OK.
5. Follow the instructions on screen to install the software. Your printer driver
software is installed first. Then you will be prompted to install Status
Monitor 2.
6. After the software installation is complete, turn on your printer.
Your printer software icons appear in the EPSON folder on your Start menu,
and an icon for your printer appears in the Printers folder. The EPSON
Stylus COLOR 440 is set as your default Windows printer.

Windows 3.1x

1. Make sure your printer is connected to the computer and your computer is
turned on.
2. Make sure Windows Program Manager is running. Exit any open applications.
3. Insert the EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 diskette 1.
4. From the Program Manager File menu, select Run.
5. Type A:\SETUP and click OK. (If your diskette drive uses a different letter,
substitute it for A.)
6. Follow the instructions on screen to install the software.
Your printer software icons appear in the EPSON program group, and the
EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 printer is set as your default Windows printer.

Note:
After you turn on your printer, you may see a screen telling you that
Windows has detected your printer and asking you to insert a driver
diskette. If you see this screen, always select Cancel. Your software is
already installed.
