Installing Software on Windows 3.1x
If you have a Windows 3.1x system, you can install your printer software (also called
a printer driver) and Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can also copy your electronic
EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 Manual to your hard disk.

Installing Your Printer Software

Follow these steps to install your printer software:
1. Make sure your printer is connected to the computer and both are
turned on.
2. Make sure Windows Program Manager is running. Exit any open
applications.
3. Insert the EPSON software CD-ROM.
4. From the Program Manager File menu, select Run.
5. Type D:\EPSON and click OK. (If your CD-ROM drive uses a different letter,
substitute it for D.) You see the Software License Agreement.
6. Read the Software License Agreement and then click Agree to continue with
the installation.
7. Follow the instructions on screen to install the printer software.
Your printer software icons appear in the EPSON program group, and the EPSON
Stylus COLOR 440 is set as your default Windows printer.
