If your printout is faint or
has gaps in the image . . .
Your print head nozzles may
be clogged. Run a cleaning
cycle (see page 19).
Make sure your paper isn't
damaged, old, or dirty. Also,
make sure you put the paper
in correctly (the printable
surface should be face up).
You may need to put a new
stack of paper in the feeder.

If your printout has missing
colors, or if the colors are
wrong . . .
Make sure the Ink option is
set to Color.
Your print head nozzles may
be clogged. Run a cleaning
cycle (see page 19).
Make sure the ink cartridges
aren't low on ink. If either ink
out light is flashing, or if the
cartridge is old, replace it (see
page 22).
Try using the Automatic mode
setting, or choose a different
setting in the Custom Settings
drop-down list (see page 17).
Remember that your monitor
and printer use different
technologies to represent
colors, so your printout cannot
exactly match the colors you
see on your monitor.
