Diagnosing Problems

Your printer includes a number of ways to help you diagnose problems:
Check the lights on the printer's control panel first (these identify the most
common problems). See "Checking the Control Panel Lights" on page 31.
You can also use the Status Monitor 2 utility (not available for
Windows 3.1x) to identify common problems. For instructions, see your
electronic EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 Manual.
To determine whether the problem is caused by the printer itself, run a
printer operation check. See your electronic EPSON Stylus COLOR 440
Manual for instructions.
For the latest information, check the EPSON Stylus COLOR 440 and Status
