If your printout is grainy . . .
Try using a higher quality
paper.
Run the Print Head
Alignment utility (see
page 27).
If you're printing a
photograph, you may need
to increase the print quality
setting or print it in a
smaller size.
If your printout contains
strange characters . . .
Your printer cable may be
loose. Check that the cable
is locked firmly in place at
both ends to make sure your
printer and computer are
communicating, then try
printing again.
You may have the wrong
printer cable. Make sure you
have a shielded, twisted-pair
parallel printer cable 6 to 10
feet long.
Your printer may not be
selected as the Windows
default printer.
