Installing a Drive
1. Remove the screws securing the dummy drive into the drive carrier, and remove the
dummy drive.
2. Install a drive into the carrier with the printed circuit board side facing down so that the
mounting holes in the drive align with those in the carrier.
3. Secure the drive into the carrier with screws.
4. Use the open handle to replace the drive carrier into the chassis.
5. Gently close the drive carrier handle to secure the drive and carrier into the chassis
drive bay.

Caution: Except for short periods of time while swapping drives, do not operate the server
without the carriers in the drive bays.
