Your scanned image is blurry or distorted.
Make sure the document is placed flat against the
scanner glass. If only part of the image is blurred, your
document may be wrinkled or warped.
Make sure the RX700 is level and on a stable,
vibration-free surface.
If you've removed the scanner lid to scan a thick
document, try covering the document with a heavy
cloth or paper to keep out ambient light.
The edges of the photo are not scanned.
The scanner has non-readable areas at the edges. Move
your photo in about 1/8 inch from the edges of the
scanner glass.
If the edges of your photo are light in color, the RX700
may not be able to detect them properly. Change the
Scan Area setting to
If you're scanning from your computer using EPSON
Scan, select Home Mode or Professional Mode
(instead of Full Auto Mode), and then select the scan
area manually.

RX700 Screen Problems

You can't read the menus or view photos on the RX700 screen.
Try viewing the screen from a different angle, or tilt the screen up or down.
The RX700 may be in sleep mode. Press any button on the RX700 to wake
the screen. Then press the button for the task you want to perform.
