- Page 4 STEP 2 OPTIONAL The Hive Box (S1) can be nailed together for additional strength, but this is not required. Using a 3/32” bit, pre-drill 2” deep holes in the center of each dovetail of the pre-cut joint to prevent splitting, then hammer in one 1-5/8” Nail (B3) at a time.
- Page 5 STEP 2 Insert Plastic Foundation (F4) into the groove of the top bar. STEP 3 Put a small drop of wood glue on the end of each End Panel (F1). Attach the Bottom Bar (F5) to the End Panels, making sure the groove fits over the Plastic Foundation (F4).
