Selecting the Correct Ethernet Wiring Configuration

If you have an existing 10BaseT Ethernet cable in place, you can connect the cable directly
to the Access Point. You can also connect the Ethernet cable to the remote power injector,
then connect the remote power injector to the AP.
To ensure correct system operation, make sure you select the appropriate straight-through
or crossover Ethernet wiring configuration for your installation.

Straight-Through Configuration

Use a straight-through wiring configuration if connecting:
An Ethernet switching device to an AP.
An AP to a remote power injector.

Crossover Configuration

Use a crossover wiring configuration if connecting:
An AP to an AP.
An AP to an Ethernet card in a PC.
