OIL PUMP

PERIODIC INSPECTIONS
AND ADJUSTMENTS

Air bleeding
CAUTION:
The oil pump and oil delivery line must be
bled on the following occasions:
S When any portion of the oil system has
been disconnected.
S When the machine has been turned on its
side.
S Whenever the oil tank has been run empty.
S During pre-delivery.
1. Fill:
S Oil tank 1
Oil tank capacity:
3.0 L (2.6 lmp qt, 3.2 US qt)
Recommended oil:
YAMALUBE 2-cycle oil or
equivalent
2. Place a rag under the oil pump assembly to
soak up any spilled oil.
3. Disconnect:
S Oil hose
4. keep the oil running out until air bubbles dis-
appear from the oil hose.
5. Connect:
S oil hose
6. Disconnect:
S Oil delivery hose
7. Feed the "YAMALUBE2–cycle oil" into the oil
delivery hose using an oil for complete air
bleeding.
8. Connect:
S Oil delivery hose
9. Remove:
S Bleed screw 1
S Gasket (bleed screw)
10. Let the oil run out until all of the air bubbles
disappear from the bleed hole.
11. Inspect:
S Gasket (bleed screw)
Damage/wear ! Replace.
12. Install:
S Gasket (bleed screw)
S Bleed screw
