Getting Started with the Move 3500 (WiFi) Payment Terminal Your Move 3500 is designed to be easy to use, and you should have no problems with it. Read on to find out how to carry out some of the more common tasks, and introduce you to useful functions and features.
Charging the Battery When you first receive your Move 3500, you should charge the battery for 16 hours. During regular use, replacing it on the base will recharge it automatically. the battery symbol will flash/animate to indicate that the terminal is charging.

Caring for your Terminal Be careful to avoid spilling liquids on your terminal or base. Clean it with a soft cloth. Do not use water, cleaning agents, or abrasive materials. Be sure to turn off the terminal before cleaning. The magnetic swipe and chip card readers should be cleaned regularly with a suitable cleaning card.
Function Keys The following keys give you easy access to key functions on the Move 3500. Arrow keys Use to choose options on screen (F2, F3) F1 & F4 Can be used for shortcuts Menu Press to enter the application menus from the idle (READY) screen.

Connecting your Move 3500 to the Ethernet 1. Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the ethernet socket on your router, and the other into the ethernet socket on the base unit. 2. Plug the power cord into the base unit, and into a power source.

Processing a Sale Chip & PIN 1. Insert the customer’s card into the reader, face up, chip forward. 2. Enter the sale amount, including pence, and press the key. 3. Ask the customer to enter their PIN code, and press Confirm. 4.

Supervisor Menu and Password To access the Supervisor menu, press the Menu key twice, and then F3 (the Down arrow key). The first time you go to the menu, the password is 01483. You will be prompted to change it before you can process any transactions. End of Day Reports Press the key twice, and then REPORTS.
