Ensuring potential equalization

Requirements

Same electrical potential for the fluid and sensor
Company-internal grounding concepts
Pipe material and grounding
Keep the grounding cable as short as possible

Connection example, standard scenario

In order to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), we recommend connecting the
measuring device to ground via the ground terminal on the housing.

Ensuring the degree of protection

The measuring device fulfills all the requirements for degree of protection IP66.
To guarantee degree of protection IP66 , carry out the following steps after the electrical
connection:
1. Check that the housing seals are clean and fitted correctly.
2. Dry, clean or replace the seals if necessary.
3. Tighten all housing screws and screw covers.
4. Firmly tighten the cable glands.
