kondenserande (t.ex. överhettad ånga) bör referensröret vara
kondensatfyllt och eventuellt försett med kondensatkärl.
f) Tänk på att för alla typer av referensrör måste temperaturen kring röret
eller delar därav beaktas på grund av att:
- temperaturens variationer kring referensröret innebär att mediats
densitet ändrar sig och därmed förändrar transmitterns nollpunkt.
- det finns risk för sönderfrysning och pluggbildning vid vattenfyllda rör
och temperaturer under fryspunkten.
- det finns risk för avkokning vid höga temperaturer kring referensröret
och eventuella trycksänkningar t.ex. vid mätning i ång- och kondensat
kärl.
g) Vid risk för slambildning bör slamkärl alternativt anordning för renspol-
ning installeras.
h) Referensrör bör utformas så att avstängning mot tanken och givaren
möjliggör påfyllning av vätska i referensrör och mätledning. Dessutom
ska drifttagning, nollpunktskontroll och service kunna utföras.

e) When measuring levels in pressurised vessels and the media is
condensing (for example supeheated steam) the reference tube should
be filled with condensate and equiped with a condensation tank.
f) The temperature around the refernce tube must be watched because:
- the temperature varies around the column (tube) and thus changes
the contents density causing the transmitters zero to move.
- there risk of freezing and plugging (if filled with water) at temperatures
below freezing point.
- there is risk of boiling if the temperature is too high and pressure may
drop for example when measuring steam and condensate tanks.
g) A sludge tank should be fitted if there is a risk of silting up. Otherwise
a cleaning device can be fitted.
h) The reference tube should be able to be shut-of from the tank and
transmitter to allow the liquid in the tube and the measurement tubing
to be topped up. This also makes for easier zero point checking and
service.
