the controller as by-products of array creation. That is, when the
controller creates an array, the controller automatically converts free
space on a drive into one or more array partitions. See Partitions on
page A-3.
The partitions discussed here are not the same as partitions created
by an operating system. Operating system partitions are subsets of
the logical space presented to the operating system by the array. You
can also create operating system partitions on an array using your
operating system tools.

Viewing Partition Properties

You can view partition properties, which contain information about
the partition.
To view the partition properties:

In the System Browser window, select the array whose
partition properties you want to view.

In the Details pane, select the partition you want.

Click Properties.
The Partition Properties dialog box appears.
