MULTIRAY 1.2 Descrizione L’unità per effetti di luce MULTIRAY è indicata per l’impiego sul palcoscenico, in discoteche e per party. Pro- duce dei disegni di luci colorati per mezzo di 84 led super luminosi, che si accendono nei colori rosso, verde, blu e bianco. Sono possibili effetti di luci a scorrimento e stroboscopici comandati dalla musica. L’unità per effetti luce è prevista per il comando attraverso un’unità di comando luce DMX (28 canali di controllo DMX, commutabili a 9 o 3 canali), ma può essere usata anche senza unità di comando oppure tramite il teleco- mando EC800 disponibile come accessorio. 1.3 Specifiche tecniche Proiettore LED DMX per generare fasci ed effetti di colore RGBW. • Sorgente luminosa: 84 LED ad alta efficienza (R=21 G=21 B=21 W=21). • LED a lunga durata: >50.000 ore. • 3 modalità di funzionamento: DMX (connessione XLR 3 poli), Automatico/musicale e Master/slave. • 3 modalità DMX: 28, 9 o 3 canali per una maggiore flessibilità di programmazione. • Funzionamento in automatico-musicale con show di luce dinamici e in continuo cambiamento. • Modalità Master/slave: esecuzione sincronizzata delle sequenze pre-memorizzate. • Comando EC800 (opzionale) per l’accesso rapido alle funzioni e alle sequenze pre-memorizzate. • Display a 4 cifre per il controllo delle funzioni e i settaggi dell’apparecchio. • 7 lenti ad alta definizione per la massima resa luminosa e un fascio luminoso di 116°. • Colori più brillanti e effetti più dinamici di proiettori basati su lampada. • Assorbimento energetico e temperatura di lavoro contenuti. • Compatto e leggero (trasformatori per lampada non richiesti). • Staffa di fissaggio in dotazione. • Alimentazione: 230V~ 50Hz. -

MULTIRAY - 2 - INSTALLAZIONE 2.1 Montaggio MULTIRAY può essere fissata mediante vite per mezzo della sua staffa di montaggio (1) oppure con supporto per fari (gancio a C) ad una traversa. Per orientare l’unità allentare le viti di bloccaggio (2); impostare l’in- clinazione desiderata e stringere nuovamente le viti (fig.3). L’area di collocazione deve avere una stabilità sufficiente e supportare almeno 10 volte il peso dell’unità. Inoltre, assicurarsi di rispettare tutte le avvertenza, in materia di sicurezza: • È assolutamente necessario assicurare il proiettore contro la caduta utilizzando un cavo di sicurezza: in particolare collegare il cavo in un punto adatto in modo che la caduta del proiettore non possa superare i 20 cm. • Fissare il proiettore attraverso l’apposita staffa (1) ad una collocazione idonea. • Orientare il proiettore intervenendo, se necessario, sulla manopola (2) della staffa di montaggio. • Premere il tasto MENU per accedere alla funzione e attraverso i tasti UP e DOWN scorrere fino a quando sul display non appare [SOUn], quindi premere il tasto ENTER. • Premere il tasto UP o DOWN per selezionare [Off]oppure [On]. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER. Per il comando tramite la musica impostare il regolatore per la sensibilità (12) del microfono in modo tale che la dinamica della musica venga riprodotta in maniera ottimale dai movimenti del raggio di luce nonché dal cambio dei colori. Nota. Modificando il volume dell’impianto di musica occorre adattare nuovamente anche la sensibilità del microfono. 3.5 Modalità Master/Slave Questa modalità consente di collegare in linea più unità MULTIRAY senza un controller. La prima unità sarà impostata come master [MAST] e le altre funzioneranno come slave [SL1-SL4] con lo stesso effetto. • Premere il tasto MENU per accedere alla funzione e attraverso i tasti UP e DOWN scorrere fino a quando sul display non appare [SLMd]. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER. • Selezionare attraverso i tasti UP o DOWN tra [MAST] o [SL1-SL4]. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER. • Servirsi dei connettori DMX presenti sul pannello di controllo del MULTIRAY e di un cavo XLR per formare una catena di unità. In certe condizioni e lunghezze si consiglia di effettuare una terminazione come mostrato a pagina 11. 3.6 Collegamento Si possono collegare più unità affinché tutte le unità secondarie abbiano lo stesso effetto luce dell’unità principale (Master). 1. Collegare l’uscita DMX OUT dell’unità principale con l’ingresso DMX IN della prima unità secondaria ser- vendosi di un cavo XLR a 3 poli. 2. Collegare l’uscita DMX OUT della prima unità secondaria con l’ingresso DMX IN della seconda unità se- condaria ecc. -

MULTIRAY 3.7 Modalità DMX • Per poter entrare nella modalità DMX; premere il tasto MENU per accedere alla funzione e attraverso i tasti UP e DOWN scorrere fino a quando sul display non appare [Addr]. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER. • Premere il tasto UP e DOWN per selezionare il valore desiderato tra i valori da [1 - 512]; tenere premuto invece il tasto UP e DOWN per lo scorrimento veloce. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER 3.8 Indirizzamento DMX Per poter comandare il MULTIRAY con un’unità di comando luce, occorre impostare l’indirizzo di start DMX per il primo canale DMX. Se, per esempio, sull’unità di comando è previsto l’indirizzo 33 per comandare la funzione del primo canale DMX, si deve impostare sul MULTIRAY l’indirizzo di start 33. Le altre funzioni del pannello saranno assegnate automaticamente agli indirizzi successivi. MULTIRAY ATTENZIONE La parte schermata del cavo (calza) non deve mai essere collegata alla terra dell’impianto; ciò comportereb- be malfunzionamenti delle unità e dei controller. Per passaggi lunghi può essere necessario l’inserimento di un amplificatore DMX. In tal caso, è sconsigliato utilizzare nei collegamenti cavo bilanciato microfonico poiché non è in grado di trasmettere in modo affidabile i dati di controllo DMX. • Collegare l’uscita DMX del controller con l’ingresso DMX della prima unità; • Collegare, quindi, l’uscita DMX con l’ingresso DMX della successiva unità; l’uscita di quest’ultima con l’ingresso di quella successiva e via dicendo finchè tutte le unità sono collegate formando una catena. • Per installazioni in cui il cavo di segnale deve percorrere lunghe distanze è consigliato inserire sull’ultima unità una terminazione DMX. 3.10 Costruzione del terminatore DMX La terminazione evita la probabilità che il segnale DMX 512, una volta raggiunta la fine della linea stessa venga riflesso indietro lungo il cavo, provocando, in certe condizioni e lunghezze, la sua sovrapposizione al segnale originale e la sua cancellazione. La terminazione deve essere effettuata, sull’ultima unità della catena, con connettori XLR a 5 pin o 3 pin, saldando una resistenza di 120Ω (minimo 1/4W) tra i terminali 2 e 3, così come indicato in figura. MULTIRAY 3.12 Modifica dei parametri di funzionamento È possibile modificare i seguenti parametri seguendo sempre la medesima procedura: • Premere il tasto MENU per accedere alla funzione desiderata e attraverso i tasti UP e DOWN scorrere fino a selezionarla, quindi premere il tasto ENTER. • Premere, eventualmente, il tasto UP o DOWN per scegliere tra le opzioni proposte. • Per confermare premere il tasto ENTER. MULTIRAY 3.13 Telecomando EC800 (opzionale) Con il telecomando opzionale si possono controllare diverse funzioni. • Collegare il telecomando con la presa ONLY FOR REMOTE CONTROL (5). • L’ingresso DMX (4) non deve essere collegato; il LED MASTER deve essere acceso. • All’uscita DMX (3) si possono collegare altri MULTIRAY per movimenti telecomandati sincronizzati con l’unità principale. • Con il tasto STAND BY (19) si può attivare e disattivare la funzione Blackout. Se la funzione è attivata, il LED vicino al tasto è acceso. La testa mobile ritorna nella posizione di partenza e il raggio viene disattivato. • Con il tasto MODE (17) selezionare la modalità: a. Modalità SOUND/STROBE (il LED vicino al tasto non è acceso). Tenendo premuto il tasto FUNCTION (18) si può attivare uno dei tre effetti stroboscopici: - Effetto stroboscopico indipendente dalla musica; - Effetto stroboscopico dipendente dalla musica; - Effetto stroboscopico dipendente dalla musica alternativamente fra due unità. b. Modo Automatico (il LED lampeggia lentamente). Con il tasto FUNCTION si può scegliere tra Show0, ..., Show11 per un’ esecuzione lenta. c. Modo Automantico (il LED vicino al tasto è acceso). - Page 20 MULTIRAY 1.2 Description The light effect unit MULTIRAY is suited for applications on stage, in discotheques or party rooms. It projects colored light patterns via 84 super bright leds in red, green, blue and white and offers music-controlled light sequence effects and stroboscopic effects. - Page 21 MULTIRAY - 2 - INSTALLATION 2.1 Mounting MULTIRAY may be set up on a solid and even surface. The unit can also be mounted upside down to a cross arm. For fixing, stable mounting clips are required. The mounting place must be of sufficient stability and be able to support a weight of 10 times of the unit’s weight. • Install the projector at a suitable location by means of the mounting bracket (1). • Always additionally secure the projector with the safety rope from falling down. For this purpose, fasten the safety rope at a suitable position so that the maximum fall of the projector will be 20 cm. • Adjust the projector and use the knob (2) to slightly release or tighten the locking mechanism of the bracket if is necessary. - Page 23 MULTIRAY - 3 - FUNCTIONS AND SETTINGS 3.2 Operation Connect the supplied mains cable to a socket (230 V~/50 Hz). Then the unit is ready for operation and can be operated via a DMX controller or independently displays its show programme in succession. To switch off, disconnect the mains plug from the socket. For a more convenient operation it is recommended to con- nect the unit to a socket which can be switched on and off via a light switch. 3.3 Operation in automatic mode If no DMX control signal is present at the DMX INPUT, the unit independently runs through its show pro- gramme provided that the blackout mode is switched off: • Select [ShMd], press ENTER button to confirm, present show will blinking on the display. • Use UP and DOWN button to select (Show0 - Show11). • Press ENTER button to confirm the selection. Press MENU button back to the last menu. 3.4 Music control • Select [SOUn], press ENTER button to confirm, present state will blinking on the display. • Use UP and DOWN button to select [On] (sound control On) or [Off] (sound control Off ). • Press ENTER button to store. In this operation mode adjust the control sensitivity for the microphone sensitivity so that the dynamic power of the music will be reproduced in an optimum way by the movements of the light beam and the change of the color.
- Page 24 MULTIRAY 3.7 DMX Mode • Select [Addr], press ENTER button to confirm, the present address will blinking on the display. • Use UP and DOWN button to adjust the address from 0 to 512. • Press ENTER button to store. 3.8 DMX addressing To able to operate the MULTIRAY with a light controller, adjust the DMX start address for the first a DMX channel. If e. g. address 33 on the controller is provided for controlling the function of the first DMX channel, adjust the start address 33 on the MULTIRAY. The other functions of the light effect panel are then automati- cally assigned to the following addresses. The tables on page 9 indicate the operating mode and DMX value. The MULTIRAY is equipped with 3-pole XLR connections.
- Page 25 MULTIRAY • Connect the DMX output to the DMX input of the following unit. Connect again the output to the input of the following unit until all the units are connected in chain. • When the signal cable has to run longer distance is recommended to insert a DMX termination on the last unit. 3.10 Construction of the DMX termination The termination avoids the risk of DMX 512 signals being reflected back along the cable when they reaches the end of the line: under certain conditions and with certain cable lengths, this could cause them to cancel the original signals. The termination is prepared by soldering a 120Ω 1/4 W resistor between pins 2 and 3 of the 5-pin male XLR connector, as shown in figure. - Page 28 MULTIRAY 3.12 Changing the operating parameters The parameters described below can be changed by calling the menu: • Select the desired options menu and press ENTER button to confirm to selection. • Use UP and DOWN button, possibly, to enable or disable the function. • Press ENTER button to store. The menu shows: To Disable Blackout mode bLMd To Enable LED On LED On/Off LED Off Normal 1dSP Display representation 1dSP Inverse dSP1 Autotest. After pressing the button ENTER, a test programme will be executed. To stop tEST it, press the button MENU. Working hour meter (Fixture Hours). After pressing the button ENTER, the display will show FhrS the working hours. To return to the previous operating mode, press the button MENU. Software version. After pressing the button ENTER, the display will show the software version. To return to the previous operating mode, press the button MENU.
- Page 29 MULTIRAY 3.13 Remote control EC800 (optional) The remote control EC800 available as an optional accessory allows to control different functions: • Connect the remote control to the jack ONLY FOR REMOTE CONTROL (5). • The DMX INPUT (4) must not be connected. • Via the DMX OUTPUT (3), it is possible connect further MULTIRAY units in order to control them with the remote control in sync with the master unit. • With the key STAND BY (19) you can activate and deactivate the light rays. If the feature is turned off for a check, the LED next to the button lights up. • With the button MODE (12), select the operating mode: a. SOUND/STROBE Mode (LED light off By keeping the button FUNCTION (18) pressed, one of the three stroboscopic effect can be activated: Synchronous Strobe; Asynchronous Strobe; Sound Strobe. Auto Mode (LED Slow blinking). Press FUNCTION button briefly to choose between Show0, ..., Show11 in slow mode.
