5.3 Attaching an Incubator
To the Transporter
Refer to Figure 8, Figure 9, and Figure 10 to secure the incubator on the
transporter.
1.
Read and understand the incubator manufacturer's instructions
before using the incubator with the transporter.
2.
Hook the locking handle (A) over the crossbar (B).
3.
Align holes in the incubator frame bars (C) above the transporter
mounting pins (D).
4.
Set the incubator on the transporter.
5.
Unhook the locking handle (A) from the crossbar (B), (Figure 8).
After releasing the locking handle, slide the lock blocks (E) over
the incubator frame (F) to secure the incubator on the transporter.
6.
Follow the incubator manufacturer's instructions on proper
restraint of an infant during transport.

WARNING
An unlisted incubator can cause injury.
compatible incubators listed in this manual or on the
transporter.
Equipment improperly placed on the panels can cause
injury. Consult a bio-med technician, the controlling EMS,
or Ferno for direction on equipment placement.
Failure to properly secure the incubator to the transporter
can cause injury. Securely attach the incubator to the
transporter before moving the transporter.
An unrestrained patient can be injured. Follow the
incubator manufacturer's instructions for restraining an
infant during transport.
NOTICE
Confirm the incubator is securely attached before moving the
transporter. Also confirm the incubator power cord or other
items attached to the transporter do not interfere with the
transporter operation. See "Placing Equipment on the Panel"
on page 20.
