page 20.
Confirm that the transporter operates properly. See "Inspecting the

5.2 General Guidelines for Use

Medical advice is beyond the parameters of this manual. It is the
operators' responsibility to ensure safe practices for the patient and
themselves.
A minimum of two trained operators is required.
Operators must:
Follow standard emergency patient-handling procedures when
operating the transporter.
Communicate with one another and use coordinated movements
to operate the transporter.
Work together and maintain control of the transporter at all times.
Stay with the patient at all times.
Lift only the weight you can safely handle. Use additional help
when working with heavy loads (patient and equipment). For
placement of helpers, see "Using Additional Help" on page 7.
Verify that the undercarriage has locked into the new position after
changing positions and after the loading/unloading procedures.
Read the fastening system users' manual for instructions on using
the fastening system.
Always roll the transporter using a rolling position. Use the loading
position(s) only when loading the transporter into, or unloading it
from, an ambulance.

WARNING
Improper operation can cause injury. Operate the
transporter only as described in this manual.
An unattended patient can be injured. Stay with the
patient at all times.
An unrestrained patient can be injured. Follow the
incubator manufacturer's instructions for restraining an
infant during transport.
Rolling the transporter in a loading position can cause it
to tip. Use a rolling position when rolling the transporter.
Rolling the transporter sideways or in the loading position
can cause it to tip and injure the patient or operators. Roll
the transporter only in a level (Rolling) position and with
the loading end or control end first.
