7 Optical Standard Setup – Parameters
NOTICE
If required by a specific application, the optical standard setup can be
optimized by exchanging preassembled removable mirror/filter blocks.
This is a matter of seconds and does not require readjustments.
The CyFlow™ Space flow cytometer can be configured as flow cytometer or as a flow
cytometer with cell sorting option. The configuration as flow cytometer can accommodate
1 to 4 laser light sources, a UV-LED, different laser power intensities and up to sixteen
optical parameters.
The configuration as flow cytometer with cell sorting option can accommodate 1 to 3 laser
light sources, a UV-LED, and up to eight optical parameters.
Due to its modular concept the optical configuration can be adopted to many different
purposes. Exemplary standard configurations e.g. include:

7.1 2 Laser instrument

Instrument is equipped with a blue diode pumped solid-state Laser (50 mW) at 488 nm and
a red laser diode at 638 nm (25 mW). Up to eight optical parameters can be included
(colours reflect laser origin of the signal).

7.2 3 Laser instrument (high power laser 488 nm)

Instrument equipped with a blue diode pumped solid-state Laser (200 mW) at 488 nm, a
violet laser diode at 405 nm (100 mW) and a red laser diode at 638 nm (25 mW). In a
configuration as flow cytometer with cell sorting option this instrument accommodates up
to eight optical parameters:
