Switchboard maintenance cycle
Powering supply
Completed the operations
described above, the switchboard start-up
starts from auxiliary circuits.
Checks
It is important checking:
• Connection and power supply of
auxiliary circuits and sequence of phases
compared with the sequence of main
circuit
• Activation and calibration of electronic
measuring instruments
• Setting parameters of microprocessor
electronic relays
• The test button of relays and their
intervention where the switching is closed
• The switch opens in trip position when
the test button of residual current devices
is pushed
• Signal accuracy
• Withdrawable switch auxiliary circuits
opening in testing position
• Opening and emergency release
operation
• Operating cycle of mechanical, electrical
or electronic automatisms
Latest thing, checking all switches are set
on "Open" (OFF) and cut out power to the
assembly.
Fitting back doors, walls, covers and
connections to the frame.
Testing insulation resistance measure
among phases and between phases and
ground, after cleaning the bus-bars and
the supporting parts.
This test must be performed according
with CEI EN 61439-1 par. 11.9.
Power supply steps
• Closing the main control switches and
powering the power circuit
• Checking the measuring instruments,
the calibration of index in analogue
instruments, the light indicators and
measuring devices
• Closing the output switch, individually,
to check any failures
• Checking operation of electricity
consumption
• Checking downstream circuits and
eliminating cause of failure. Trying again
switch closing.
