Switchboard maintenance cycle
SENTRON 3VL and SENTRON 3VT:
fixed, plug-in and withdrawable circuit
breakers
Commissioning
• Installing the circuit breaker and
connecting the main conductors in
agreement with service instructions
• Fastening the main conductors in
agreement with tightening torques
defined in service instructions
• Cleaning bus-bars on system side and
removing any signs of oxidation
• Performing a closing/opening cycle.
Withdrawable circuit breakers
• Make sure that the circuit breaker is
opened before drawing it out
• During conductor or bus-bar connecting
stage, circuit breaker must remain in
place to prevent penetration of dust.
Circuit breaker with motor operator
• Switching the circuit breaker by buttons
located on motor operator, remote
command buttons or manual command.
Circuit breaker with motor operator
• Switching the circuit breaker by buttons
located on motor operator, remote
command buttons or manual command.
Series 5SY, 5SL, 5SJ and 5SP: Miniature
circuit breakers
• Performing a closing/opening cycle.
Series 5SU, 5SV and 5SM: residual
current devices
• Performing a closing/opening cycle.
• Performing the check with the test
button every 6 months.
