To protect the removed RPE-X1, place it in an antistatic bag.

If you do not install a new RPE-X1 in the slot, install a blank panel to prevent dust from entering

the chassis. For how to install a blank panel, refer to
on page 4-35.
Installing an RSE-X1
Step1 Face the front panel of the router.
Step2 Locate the slot where you will install the RSE-X1 (Slot 1 or Slot 2, the figures below illustrate
how to install an RPE-X1 to Slot 1).
Step3 Gently push the RSE-X1 into Slot 1 along the slide rails, and then push the ejector levers
inward to lock the board in position.

Step4 Fasten the captive screws clockwise with a Philips screwdriver.
