Do the procedures in section 3.4 of the service
manual.
Obey all notes and cautions in the manual.
REPLACEMENT
Have the trainees remove and replace the parts in this section.
Remind them to follow all notes and cautions in the manual.
Note that the copy adjustments must be done after replacing the lens block or the
scanner motor. There is no need to do them in the class, unless the trainees need
some practise.
First, make sure that the class is aware of the service notes for the scanner unit.
CCD: Do not try to calibrate with SP4605 after replacing the lens block. This SP
only works if you have exactly the same paper type as used in factory to perform
the calibration.
