Double-click the printer name to display the printer settings.
The details shown in [Comment], [Driver], and [Port] vary depending on the operating system, printer
model, and port.

Check that [LPT1:] is shown in [Port].

Select the [Default Printer] check box to configure the printer as default.
12.
Click [Finish].
The printer driver installation starts.
13.
After the installation is completed, select one of the options to restart the computer either

now or later, and then click [Finish].
Restart the computer to complete installation.
Installing Windows 64-bit Compatible Drivers
This section describes how to install PCL printer drivers that are compatible with 64-bit Windows operating
systems.
• If the printer is connected to your computer via USB, see "Installing the Printer Driver Using USB" and
install the printer driver using the procedure shown.

Windows XP, Windows Server 2003/2003 R2
Use the following procedure to install the PCL driver under a 64-bit version of Windows XP or Windows
Server 2003/2003 R2.
1.
On the [Start] menu, click [Printers and Faxes].
2.
Click [Add a printer], or double-click the [Add Printer] icon.
3.
Follow the instructions that appear in the "Add Printer" wizard.
If the printer driver is on the CD-ROM, the location of the driver will be \DRIVERS\PCL6\x64\MUI
\DISK1. If the installer starts automatically, click [Cancel] to stop it.
4.
Specify a port.
• Availability of ports will vary depending on your operating system and the type of interface you are
using for connection to the printer.
