INSTALLATION

NOTE: STEP 1–3 COMPONENTS MUST BE INSTALLED INDOORS
EVEN IF DUST COLLECTOR IS INSTALLED OUTSIDE
STEP 1 – Install Bypass Control as shown next to previously
installed main control panel on inside of building.
STEP 2 - Install Lincoln Smart Connect 4DD modules as shown
next to main control panel on inside of building.
STEP 3 – Install Warning/Diagnostic Light assembly on inside of
building within 25 feet of main control panel. Place in highly
visible location.
STEP 4 – Install Smoke Detector into exhaust / return air duct-
work (indoors or outdoors) with a maximum air velocity of 4000
ft/min.. Use the instructions supplied with the smoke detector kit
for installation details. Smoke detector must be installed within
50 feet of main control panel. NOTE: Dual fan units supplied with
2 detectors - one for each fan exhaust.

STEP 5 – Install supply air damper near the inlet plenum on back
of the unit as shown. The following units have two inlet dampers –
one at each inlet plenum: L17587-15, L17587-16, L17587-17,
L17587-18, L17587-27, L17587-28 & L17587-35.

NOTE: FOR UNITS WITH TOP MOUNTED FANS, SKIP TO STEP #7.
ON THESE UNITS, THE EXHAUST DAMPER IS PRE-INSTALLED
UNDER THE FAN.
STEP 6 - Install exhaust air damper near the outlet adapter on top
of the unit as shown. The following units require two exhaust
dampers on top: L17587-17 & L17587-18.
STEP 7 – Connect main control panel to Lincoln Smart Connect
4DD module as shown using the 0.6m (2ft) long green cable.
STEP 8 – Connect Lincoln Smart Connect 4DD module near main
control panel to remote control panel located in the units' leg base
using a 20m (65') long green cable.
STEP 9 – Connect remote control panel located in the unit's leg
base to Lincoln Smart Connect 2DD module located above air
regulator.
