Vehicle Key
Replacing the vehicle key battery

The vehicle key contains a lithium coin cell (battery).

Swallowing the battery can cause internal burns

e Keep removed or new batteries out of children's

Children could open the vehicle key and remove

the battery.
e If the battery is swallowed or inserted into a body

Changing the battery (CR 2032, 3V)
1. Remove the emergency key.
2. Lever off the cover on the back of the vehicle key
housing using a suitable implement (e.g. the
emergency key).
3. Change the battery (check polarity).
4. Re-fit the cover and press together firmly.
5. Insert the emergency key.
Emergency release of the vehicle
key
If the vehicle battery is discharged, the vehicle key
can only be removed using the emergency release.

1. Grasp the fuse box cover on the driver's side by
the handle and detach.
2. Unclip the metal hook A on the inside of the fuse
box cover.
