Checking the Rear-Roller
Bearing Adjustment
Service Interval: Every 50 hours
Important:
Keep the roller bearings in the cutting
units in good adjustment in order to ensure
maximum working life. Excessive roller end float
will cause premature bearing damage.
1.
Grip the roller and move from side to side and
up and down.
2.
If you see excessive movement, carefully tighten
the nuts at each end of the roller just sufficiently
to remove any end float
Note:
The roller should still rotate freely after
adjustment. Overtightening the nuts could lead
to premature bearing damage.
Adjust the nuts an equal amount at both ends
of the roller.

Scraper Wire Tension
Service Interval: Every 50 hours
Adjust the tension of scraper wires are correctly to
ensure correct operation and maximum working life.
1.
Carefully tighten the scraper wire retaining nuts
to remove any slack from the scraper wires.
2.
Tighten the nuts 4 full turns to correctly tension
the wire
