Adjust the hand-wheel assembly so that the
fastening center is correct.

Install the hand-wheel assembly in the
alternative hole position.

Install all fasteners and tighten securely.

Repeat the procedure for the other cutting units
as necessary.

Installing the Cutting Unit
to the Machine
Parts needed for this procedure:

Procedure
Note:
When installing the cutting unit to the machine,
you may need to adjust the position of the hand-wheel
assemblies. Refer to
4 Adjusting the Hand-Wheel
Assemblies (page
5).

Unlatch and lower the relevant arm to the
ground.

For 200mm cutting units only:
Remove the pin assembly already fitted to the
arm, and dismantle the M24 nut, M24 washer,
nut cap, and pear-drop bushing. Install these
items onto the 353mm long pin supplied with the
cutting unit. Fit this assembly onto the arm.
For 250mm cutting units only:
Using the 400mm long pin already fitted to the
arm, remove the nut cap, nut, and washer from
the pin.

Slide the cutting unit onto the pin until the arm
bush mates with the pivot casting.

Install the M24 washer and locknut and tighten.

Loosen the nut by 1/8 to 1/4 turn to allow the
cutting unit to pivot freely.
6.
Attach the cutting unit motor to the drive end of
the cutting unit using the fasteners already fitted
to the motor mounting.
7.
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 80 N·m (59 ft-lb).

Lubricating the Cutting Unit

No Parts Required
Procedure
Fill all the bearing housings with No. 2 lithium grease.
Note:
This requires a significant quantity of grease.
