Replacing the Bottom Blade

Refer to your Parts Catalog for a list of recommended
blades for your cutting unit.
To ensure optimum performance and safety, always
purchase genuine Toro replacement parts and
accessories. Replacement parts and accessories
made by other manufacturers could be dangerous.
Such use could void the product warranty.
1.
Remove the bottom blade holder by removing
the 3 fixing bolts at each end and remove them
from the cutting unit

Remove the worn bottom blade and discard the
countersunk screws and securing nuts.
3.
Fit the new blade to the holder and loosely
assemble with new countersunk screws and
securing nuts

4.
Tighten the center bolts to a torque of 40 N·m
(30 lb-ft).
5.
Tighten the remaining bolts to a torque of 40
N·m (30 lb-ft) by working from the center out
toward the blade ends.
6.
Grind the new bottom blade on its holder prior
to fitting to the cutting unit. Adjust the cutting
cylinder position to give adequate clearance for
fitting the new bottom blade holder.
7.
Install the bottom blade holder assembly to the
cutting unit using the original fixing bolts and
torque them to 35 N·m (26 lb-ft).
8.
Adjust the cylinder to the bottom blade.
