Backlaping
REELS MAY STALL WHILE BACKLAPPING.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESTART REELS BY
HAND
OR
TOUCH
BACKLAPPING. STOP ENGINE AND TURN
H.O.C. KNOB ONE POSITION TOWARD "1".
Note: When backlapping, the front units operate to-
gether, and the rear units operate together.
1. Position the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, stop the engine, engage the parking brake,
and move the Enable/Disable switch to disable position.
Remove the key from the ignition switch.
2. Unlock and raise the seat to expose the controls.
3. Make the initial reel to bedknife adjustments ap-
propriate for backlapping on all cutting units. Start the
engine and set the engine at idle speed.
4. Set both reel speed controls to position 11 (Fig. 30).
5. Select either the front or rear on the backlap switch
to determine which units to backlap (Fig. 31).
6. Move the enable/disable switch to the enable posi-
tion. Move the lower mow/raise lever forward to start the
backlapping operation on the designated reels (Fig. 32).
7. For the cutting units being backlapped, move the reel
speed control to position 1.
