6.3.2.2 Fitting on a foundation frame
•
Clean the undersurface of the gearunit base and the foundation frame.
•
Using suitable lifting gear, place the gear unit on the foundation frame.
•
Tighten the foundation bolts to the specified torque (see item 6.19). If necessary, use stops to prevent
displacement.
NOTICE
Material damage
Damage to the gear unit possible through uneven tightening of the fastening bolts.
Tighten the fastening bolts evenly. The gear unit must not be excessively stressed when tightening the
fastening bolts.
•
Align the gear unit exactly with the units on the input and output sides (see item 6.3.2.1).
•
Record the alignment dimensions.

The record must be kept with these instructions.
6.4
Shaftmounted gear unit with solid shaft
Note
Clean the recesses on the gearunit housing. Place the gear unit in the bearing shells which are to be
provided by the customer (see figure 24). Fit the cover on the fixedroller side and tighten to the specified
torque (see item 6.19). Fit torque arm (see item 6.9).
