    3 HARDWARE INSTALLATION Before removing or installing any of these devices including CPU, DIMMs, Add-On Cards, Cables, please make sure to unplug the onboard power connector. This section outlines how to install and configure your AV30 mainboard. Refer to the following mainboard layout to help you identify various jumpers, connectors, slots, and ports.

    Step 1 Install the CPU: 1. Locate the CPU ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) socket on the upper-right sector of your mainboard (between the back-panel connectors and the DIMM memory slots). 2. Pull the CPU ZIF socket lever slightly sideways away from the socket to unlock the lever, and then bring it to an upwardly vertical position.
