Set User Password
The Set User Password category lets you restrict access
to your system.
NOTE: See "Using the User Password Feature" later in
this chapter for detailed instructions on assigning a user
password and using, deleting, or changing an existing
user password. See "Disabling a Forgotten Password"
later in this chapter for information on disabling a for-
gotten user password.
Set Administrative Password
The Set Administrative Password category lets you
restrict access to your computer's system setup program
in the same way that you restrict access to your system
with the user password feature. The administrative pass-
word is also used to restrict access to the system
configuration utility program described in Chapter 5.

Unattended Start
If you enable this category, the system can be booted
without entering a password. However, the keyboard and
mouse remain locked until the user password is entered.
The default setting is Disabled.
Security Hot Key
This category allows you to specify a key combination
that secures the system immediately. The key combina-
tion itself can be set through the system setup program or
the system configuration utility.
Keyboard Inactivity Timer
You can use this category to specify a time limit of 1 to
127 minutes in 1-minute increments. If no keyboard or
