  • Page 18 6. To remove the crotch buckle: • Lift the fabric seat cover on the base of the child restraint to expose the slot. • Pull up both ends of the crotch strap (the buckle and metal plate) and slide (34) strap through the opening in the plastic base .

  • Page 21 6. Buckle the vehicle seat belt into place and ensure it is secure by gently pulling on it. Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight, any straps restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and all straps should not be twisted.
