16. Transition selectors: These twelve selection buttons determine the transition type and allow for the
selection of certain effects that are performed on the selected Main Video Input channel. For more
information, see Using Transitions, page 23 and Using Effects, page 26.
N.B. The output format can be S-Video and Composite or Component Video (YUV) and Composite. It
is not possible to output S-Video (Y/C) and Component Video (YUV) at the same time.
Tech note
: Transcoding is the act of changing video from one format to another,
for example, from composite video to S-video. The SE-500 has been designed to
perform transcoding, as part of its standard operating procedure. Select a video
source on the Main Source Input bus, and it will be available at the Main Output in
all formats, S-Video and Composite, simultaneously.
