Setting up the answering machine
Switch the answering machine ON/OFF using
the base
1. Press and release
If you hear, "Answer on, your answer and record outgoing
message is....", the answering machine is switched on and
is ready to answer incoming calls and record any
messages. The display on the base shows the number of
messages stored in the memory.
If you hear "Answer off" the answering machine is
switched off. The display on the base will flash between
a dash (-) and the number of messages saved in the
memory.
