5. Detach the connector
6. Install the new coin-cell battery
7. Reinstall the bottom cover. See "Replacing the bottom cover" on page 120.
8. Reinstall the battery. See "Replacing the battery" on page 118.
9. Turn the computer over again. Connect the ac power adapter and all cables.
After you replace the coin-cell battery, reset the system date and time in the ThinkPad Setup program.

Replacing the keyboard
Before you start, print these instructions. Read the important safety information first. See "Important
safety information" on page vi.
To remove the keyboard, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer. Then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer.
