Replacing the Battery Pack
NOTE
When the cursor is placed over the "Economy Mode (ECO) icon" (
current Economy Mode (ECO) will be displayed in a pop-up text.
After disconnecting the battery pack, if you connect it to a computer on which the
Economy Mode (ECO) settings differ, the battery will either recharge or discharge until
the next time the computer is turned on, giving priority to the battery pack setting on
that computer.
The battery pack is a consumable item and therefore will require replacement. If the battery
operation time becomes noticeably short and if performance is not recovered even after exe-
cuting Battery Recalibration, we recommend that the battery be replaced.
CAUTION
Read the precautions about the battery pack carefully before using it (
Use only the specified battery pack (CF-VZSU40U) with your computer.
Do not remove/change the battery pack while the standby mode: Removing the pack
in the standby mode will erase your data and may damage the computer.

Power off your computer.

Turn your computer over and remove the battery pack.
