Problems with Disk and Drive
When a disk is inserted, it is not played automatically
If the DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive vibrates excessively or is
noisy
The DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive cannot be turned on or off
When inserting a disk, follow the procedure below. Make sure the disk is inserted
securely.
Slide the drive power/open switch, and open the disk cover.

Slide the disk into the drive under the keyboard with the label side up.

Press firmly on the center of the disk until you hear it click into place.

Remove the disk and reinsert it.
• If an AutoPlay CD does not start after the computer resumes from the standby or
hibernation modes, remove the disk from the drive, then reinsert the disk again after a
15 second wait.
If the problem persists, refer to the disk's operating instructions or other sources to play
the disk.
In the DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive properties, click [AutoPlay], and when [Take no
action] is selected under [Select an action to perform], select the items to be played
automatically.
Is the disk bent or labeled?
Check to see if the disk is inserted correctly, and is in good condition.
When writing to CD-R/RW using B's Recorder, you can minimize vibration while writing by
setting the writing speed at [8x] or less.
After turning off the DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive, did you try to turn it on again
immediately?
After turning off, you must wait for about 20 seconds until it is possible to turn on (or open
the disk cover).
When a disk formatted with B's CLiP is inserted:
