    Thank you for purchasing the Andatech ALX3000 Ignition Interlock Device. The ALX3000 is a state-of-the-art ignition interlock system used to prevent drink driving. It utilises an electrochemical fuel cell to measure the concentration of alcohol in the breath sample expelled from a human subject.

    Temperature DEVICE FEATURES The ALX3000 can be used with various settings to suit the user. The default settings are as follows: 1. Service and Calibration period is 365 days. 2. If the test result is “PASS”, then you have 5 minutes to start the engine.

    2. Do not use the handset if it is not safe to do so while driving your vehicle. 3. If the ALX3000 requires a breath test during driving, please park in a safe place before performing the test.

    1. Turn off the vehicle - the free start time will be displayed on the device. 2. Hold down both the Menu (“M”) and Enter (“U”) buttons on the handset for 3 seconds. 3. ALX3000 is then blocked, and will return to standby mode. 4. New startup procedure is now active.

    3. If the service date is less than 7 days, a warning message will be displayed on the device. Maintenance: Service and calibration of the ALX3000 may only be carried out by certified service centers. The ALX3000 shall be serviced and calibrated within an interval of 12 months from the first installation.

Be prepared with the override plug that was provided with your device. 2. Locate the control box (location should have been provided by your installer after installation).

However, neither the manufacturer nor the supplier gives any warranty (express or implied) that the product can give any indication of blood alcohol level.

    Service during the Warranty Period To claim for warranty, contact us on 1300 800 200 or send and email to support@andatech.com. au to get an RA# (Return Authorisation Number). Ensure that the RA# is clearly stated on the outside of the packaging and that the product is properly packaged so that no damage occurs to the product during transit.

    The Andatech ALX3000 complies with the requirements of the EN 50436-1: 2014 (E) standard. Alcohol detection is measured by the handset and all events are stored in the control box. The Andatech ALX3000 Ignition Interlock Device is intended for all vehicles with a 12V to 24V power supply.

  • Page 17 Service indication The service cycle of the ALX3000 is 365 days. The number of remaining days is indicated by the next calibration date and service date in ALX3000 information. If the service date is less than 7 days away, a warning message will be displayed on the display.
