OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Step 1. Press the power button to switch on the device. The total number of tests performed will display on the screen, followed by the result of the previous test. Step 2. The device will start to warm up and the countdown will display on the screen.
WARNING DISPLAY Full battery capacity Empty battery capacity. Replace with brand new alkaline AAA batteries. Testing cannot be performed because the battery is low. Replace with brand new alkaline AAA batteries. The breath sample was not strong enough for a measurement. Please press the power button to take another test.

® The Sobermate S3 uses a fuel cell sensor to measure breath alcohol levels. Depending upon the amount of alcohol registered by the sensor after a period of time, it will require calibration. The manufacturer ® recommends the Sobermate S3 to be calibrated every 12 months or every 500 uses, whichever comes first.
