    INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the Andatech® Prodigy 3. The Andatech® Prodigy 3 is a state-of-the-art device used to detect Ethyl Alcohol from a valid breath sample. It uses an electrochemical fuel cell to measure the concentration of alcohol from the breath sample expelled from a human subject.

    OPERATING CONDITIONS Working temperature of the Andatech® Prodigy 3: -10 to 50°C Storage temperature range of the Andatech® Prodigy 3: -30 to 70°C, 15 to 90%RH Note: Inappropriate storage of the device will shorten the lifespan of the fuel cell sensor.

    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Refer to “Conditions for Testing” before conducting a Standard or Passive test. On/Off Press and hold the power button for 1-2 seconds to switch the device on or off. Taking a standard test 1. Attach a mouthpiece onto the sample port and select the Standard Test icon. 2.
  • Page 8 7. If alcohol was detected during a passive test, clean the sampling cup or use a new sampling cup to prevent residual alcohol from affecting the next test result. 8. Select to print the test result. Note: A passive test only checks for the presence of alcohol in a breath sample. An accurate test result can only be obtained via a Standard Test using a mouthpiece.

    PRINTER The Prodigy 3 features a built-in thermal printer. INSERT/REPLACE PAPER: Pull the handles on the side to open the printer cassette and inset thermal paper. When inserting a new roll of paper, make sure the glossy/outer side of the paper is facing the serrated tear strip once the door is closed.

    The manufacturer warrants for 1 year from Andatech recommends the AlcoSense® the date of purchase, the product to be free Prodigy 3 is calibrated every 6 months from defects in workmanship or material (unlimited tests) to maintain Australian (excluding calibration) under normal use.

    Service during the Warranty Period To claim for warranty, contact us on 1300 800 200 or send and email to support@andatech.com.au to get an RA# (Return Authorisation Number). Ensure that the RA# is clearly stated on the outside of the packaging and that the product is properly packaged so that no damage occurs to the product during transit.
