7.4 POWER SUPPLY

For safety reasons, A12 terminal must be grounded during functional
Apply nominal voltage to the relay, then adjust to minimum, then maximum. For each voltage check that the ALARM
relay is open when it is powered and close when it is not powered.
Note: The Alarm Output also closes when the relay is out-of-service (STATUS setting in the GENERAL SETTINGS
menu) or if being IN SERVICE, there is no protection unit enabled to trip. At least one protection unit must be
enabled, and its trip permitted.
To perform this test, first set the relay to IN SERVice, under the GENERAL SETTINGS/STATUS menu, and enable
at least one function, permitting its operation under FUNCTION PERMIT menu, and its trip permission under the
same menu.

7.5 VOLTAGE MEASUREMENT

Set the VT ratios to the following values (GENERAL SETTINGS) :
• PHASE VT RATIO : 1000
• GROUND VT RATIO : 1000
• FREQUENCY : 50 Hz
Apply the following voltages:
Using the LCD and keypad check that the equipment measures with an accuracy better than 5 % of the applied
voltage.
Modify the nominal frequency setting and repeat the test at 60 Hz.
