    4 Operating the appliance Operating the appliance Basic procedure ▪ Use the navigation arrows (up/left) and (down/right) to select a settable value and to navigate through the operating steps. ▪ The selected set values are displayed for 5 seconds when the door is opened, and then the actual temperature values are displayed.

The effective temperature may at times be different from the selected set value if the door is open for an extended period of time or if warm food has been placed inside.

  • Page 17 5 Using the appliance functions Fast cooling/freezing The fast cooling/freezing functions allow larger quantities of food, e.g. after a shopping trip or freezing pre-cooked meals, to be cooled more quickly. The temperature of the re- frigerating zone is lowered to the coldest value for 24 hours and similarly the temperat- ure of the freezing zone is lowered to the coldest value for 54 hours.

Defrosting The fully automatic NoFrost system keeps the freezer compartment frost-free. The appli- ance regularly defrosts automatically, rendering manual defrosting unnecessary. Keep the collection channel and the drain pipe clean so that the water can flow un- impeded.
