Testing the Hydraulic machine lift

Venting
After some time, or after oil has been added, air bubbles
can form in the hydraulic system of the Hydraulic ma-
chine lift and impair its function.
Step 1: Lowering the lifting table to min. height
Step 2: Slowly and carefully open the oil filler plug to
allow the trapped air to escape.
Step 3: Check the Hydraulic machine lift for its function, if
necessary repeat the steps
Check oil level
Step 1: Open the oil filler plug and check the oil level.
The oil should be enough with completely defla-
ted lifting claw to the lower edge of the oil filler
neck.
Step 2: Add hydraulic oil if necessary. Only use new,
clean hydraulic oil, viscosity class "ISO VG 32".
Step 3: Screw the oil filler plug back in. Check the func-
tion of the machine lifter.
Step 4: Venting the hydraulic system

11 Testing the Hydraulic machine lift
The hydraulic machine lifter is in accordance with the
provisions of the German Industrial Safety Regulations
and the BGR 500, Chapter 2.8, before the first start-up
and at intervals as long as required 1 year by a qualified
person to check for safe working condition. A person
may be considered qualified if he / she has at least the
qualifications previously given to the expert. The scope
of testing and the inspection deadlines are i.a. according
to the results of the risk assessment to be carried out.
Type, extent and deadlines of the tests described in the
BGR 500 are previous practice and comply with the rules
of technology. The test is essentially a visual and functio-
nal test. It covers the examination of the condition of the
components and equipment, the completeness and ef-
fectiveness of the safety equipment and the complete-
ness of the test book. If a test period of no more than one
year is adhered to, the operator can assume that this pe-
riod is adequate. Verification of hydraulic machine lifts
must be verified by a log book.
Possible cause

- The valve is not open enough
- Oil level incorrect (too little)
- Gaskets are worn
Solution
